Im born and bred Geordie but sadly now reside down south x

What hospital are you under Oliver

My Dad was from Hebburn on Tyne Co Durham. Fond memories of the visits/holidays we had there in the 1950s. I loved South Shields and Marsden Rock beaches. I loved looking around the Swan Hunter dockyard not knowing that the ships they were building there and then I would sail on in the late '60s as an Junior Engineer Officer. I liked the way men would queue up outside the pubs waiting for 6.0pm opening.

spent most of the 1980's there at the university ...lived on the quayside before it was renovated ...great city 🙂

Yes, me. 20 miles north of Newcastle, although I travel south as far as sunny Whitley Bay for work. Born n bred up here, brilliant place, loads of space, not many folk, and those that are are soooo welcoming and friendly. Oliver, I hope you like it up here, I'm under North Tyneside Hospital at North Shields, they have always been good for me over the last eleven years.

I was until a year ago! Love the place, it's a great city. Have you discovered the fish quay in North Shields yet - great fish and chips!

Also loved walking in County Durham and Northumberland, and the cliffs at South Shields.

Have you thought about doing the Great North Run? You're ideally placed if you live at the finish - no long Metro queues home! I did it twice and it was fantastic. If running isn't your thing then just go and watch it, it's an amazing spectacle!

Hope you enjoy living up there. I'm passing through in a few weeks as we're going to Kielder on holiday - can't keep away from the North East for long!

Thanks for all reply just wondering be great to get some advice and chat from some off you in the area and that

No problem, ask and if we can help, we will!🙂
