Hey guys, it's been a while!

After being told I'd hear from the DSN regarding an appointment about pumps, I've been sent a form to fill out (from PALS) and have also been asked to make an appointment to see the nurse!

Well it’s something if not what you expected.

I don’t know what the form is but I would get it back in the post asap and get on to them about booking, it’s so frustrating though I understand.

Yeah exactly.

The form came from PALS, and it's what I can only describe as like a new diabetic form haha, some of the questions ask about hypos and what insulin I'm using etc.

I tried to make an app today but they didn't answer so left a voicemail. Looks like I can either have a telephone call, or a video call (which is what I'll opt for as I feel I'm actually meeting the nurse)

Hopefully having the form to send back means that the appointment will come around really quickly!

So it turned out I didn't need to send the form back, I got through to the receptionist and have a video appointment this wednesday!

Woohoo!! :D

How did it go yesterday?

Yes please-- do tell us all about it!

I really really want a pump, so am very interested to hear as much as possible from people going through the process-- even though I'm sure that, like so many other things, it may vary from hospital to hospital (or CCG to CCG, or whatever the terminology is at the moment). Hope it went well for you!

I hope that the appointment went well @olliej96
let us know what the outcome was.

Well the appointment went well, though it seemed to be to discuss hypos/hypers and look at my numbers (it was like a first appointment when you're newly diagnosed) Also was with a diabetic nurse (that isn't pump trained) so maybe this was a seperate thing to the pump situation (?). Frustratingly when i recieved the letter and form, it was around the same time i've been expecting the pump team to get in contact as they had said they would be after discussing my case in October so I just assumed it was to do with that.

I've since emailed the pump nurse to ask if there was any update but have had no reply.
