Hi All,
Another One is a Newbie from the East Midlands region of England. Diagnosed yesterday with type II by a local GP, after fresh blood test results. An interesting part happened in the cabinet where a doctor cannot explain why they didn{t make any action even they saw in the system, that probably I have) or will have soon= type II ... over four years ago. "Someone in this practice is not too good in practice", I said. And the doctor wasn't very happy with that comment.
Yesterday was tested as well positive for COVID-19, so my diabetic treatment physically will start in the middle of next week (means the cool stuff to hurt my fingers and bleed a few times per day for a longer time), apart from throwing out some of my cupboard food resources at the evening.
The year 2020 was the worst I ever had (for many reasons), the year 2021 was crazy for me, and the year 2022 looks challenging. Catching a better diet than before will not be super easy - the doctor said:
- You must stop eating: sugar, honey, bread, pasta, rice, cakes, sweets, cookies, biscuits, chocolate, milk smoothie and a few other things (you will find it on diabetes(dot)org(dot)uk. More fish, chicken...
- Well, I'm a vegetarian for almost three decades so, no meat, fish, seafood, animal fat, and other things.
- So... I don't know, maybe chickpeas, lentils...
yeah, Welcome to the Year of Fun.
