Congratulations on 53 years of T1, I hope the years have been kind to you. Are you an MDI or pump person, Libre, cgm ?
There's a fair few 50+ years of T1 forum members, have you received your Alan Nabarro medal?
Welcome JGM, I joined just before you. I have found it a great experience, the mods are so helpful

While I've had a couple of occlusion alarms with the Ypso they did not appear to associated with the bubble "incidents", something else to check. Part of their explanation is that their blue tubing makes it easier to spot the bubbles. Probably true but doesn't explain why rising glucose readings couldn't be fixed until the tubing was purged, something which only happened once with the Medtronics.I'm 'due' for my Nabarro medal this year - must have a look and see how to apply/what proof you need - cos I haven't got any other than it was just before the Munich (summer) Olympics started - and that one is more famous for the awful 'Black September' killings, rather than how well Team GB did.
I've been using a tubes pump for about 12/13 years now - and have had 3 'Occusion' alarms on them during that time. Hence I think YpsoMed's statement that 'it's an inherrent isuue' 'doubtful' to say the least. Actually TBH I think it's a complete load of , err, cobras......
