Hi

I just found this forum and also been reading alot of peoples blogs recently.

Thought i'd post a message and say Hi. I was diagnosed with type 1 in october 2009 and since then the rest as they say is history. Im not sure I've quite got the hang of this diabetes lark just yet but my BM always seems to be between 4 & 7 so i must be doing something right.

Anyway i cant think of any burning questions at the min but i'm sure this will be the best place to answer them when I do.

Hi Knoxy welcome! I'm Shiv, I've been t1 for 19 years. I don't think we ever get the hang of it - we just deal with it the best we can 🙂

You're probably still honeymooning at the moment, people can honeymoon for several months - sometimes going into over a year - after diagnosis sometimes.

What insulins etc are you on?

This forum is awesome, everyone is lovely!

Hi Knoxy, welcome to the forum 🙂 How often do you test? I just say this because some people only test pre-meal, but highest levels are 1-2 hours after eating, so you may be missing those spikes. Or not - we are all different! Hope you enjoy using the forum. 🙂

HI Knoxy

Welcome to the forum 🙂

Hi all and thanks for the welcome

And yeah it appears i'm still on my honeymoon even after 8 months. Part of me wants it to hurry up and end so i can get on with it and the other part is quite happy to stay how it is.

I'm currently taking 20 units of insluatard morning and night, and however many units of novorapid when i eat.
