Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Hi, I'm Aimee, have been diabetic for 23 years and been on a pump for 5 years now. Still trying to get my HbA1c 'perfect'. I have a little boy who is 4 so I have a achieved a good HbA1c previously. Glad to read other people have similar problems and that it is all trial and error it seems to me!
Still finding out new things all the time about diabetes, and how it affects me. I have visited the forum a few times but have now decided to register and become part of the group.
Have never really met any other diabetics in day to day life apart from pump update courses so be nice to see what other people experience, and how they manage in a similar situation to myself. Also hope that I am able to offer and share my experiences too.

Welcome to the forum Aimee.

Hello Aimee and welcome to the forum. Pumpers are abundant on the forum so make yourself at home.

Hi Aimee, I'm a new member too and also been pumping for a while. Still not a perfect HbA1C but constantly trying - I think my last one was 8.6. I think, as you say, even after 20+ years, there's always more to learn and discover! 🙂
