Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Hello everyone.
I am Sarah & I am a type 1 diabetic.
I've had diabetes for 8 (almost 9) years. I found out I was a diabetic in 2003, when I was 11 & had recently started secondary school, (5 months into be precise). So far, I've had a few ups & downs with it but right now I seem to be in the best place I've been in since my diagnosis. Slowly but surely getting there. (Only taken 8 years!) It's nice to finally talk to others with the same condition, as thats one thing I've never had, the chance to talk to other people going through similar situations/problems/overcomes. So I'm quite excited to join this forum for that reason 🙂. (A little sad maybe...but true!) xx

I'm on novorapid & lantus at the moment. I have both before breakfast. NR at lunch time & tea time then lantus before bed.

Hi Sarah, welcome to the forum 🙂 You're on the same insulins as me, it's good to hear that you are doing well because it's often a very difficult time growing up with diabetes as you have done. Good for you, and I hope you enjoy using the forum 🙂
 
I still feel I have A LOT to improve on but for the time being I'm managing okay. We shall see what they say at clinic on thursday when I have my annual review. eeep! xx
