Another New Hello

Well hello, another new member for you.
Type 1 since diagnosis 13~14 years ago on 4 injections a day, and luckily no serious complications yet. Been getting some weird post hypo symptoms recently, where I've felt almost dizzy/faint all the next day - but I'm off for my hospital MOT in a couple of weeks so will run it post the docs there.

I can feel rough for the whole of the next day after a bad nighttime hypo, I call it a hypo hangover. Is it nighttime ones that are making you feel so rough?

Rare for me to have night time hypos. The recent ones have been in the evening as I eat less (to lose weight), then I need a different Insulin ratio with smaller meals/carbs and most of the time get it wrong and have a hypo. However the feeling very odd the next day is a new thing I've not experienced before, I usually feel tired, but not dizzy and wierd

I use Novorapid, and last year moved to Lantus for my evening shot (seems to work better than Levemir for me)

Hope all goes well at your MOT ... I would definitely run this past your consultant ...

Nathan has just come off Lantus and NovaRapid ... and been put on Hypurin Porcine (Animal Insulin) ... Because of serious issues with above insulins .. mainly Lantus ... It is well known that it can cause strange hypos and post hypos ... as well as loss of awarness ... This does not affect all users though.
