Got my results back today for my HbA1C i had last week.
I was 10.1% back in June, and had just started on the insulin.
Today....7.1% 🙂

The GP seemed pretty pleased with that 🙂
Im not quite sure if i need to lower it anymore...i think i do....???

Well done on that improvement 🙂

I think you are within the "acceptable control" target which is 7.5% Some people even find that their GP's try to dissuade them from improving any further.

Personally, I would aim to get within 6.5% if I could because as you get into the 6's and lower your risk of complications goes down. But, you do start to get more of other types of risks instead if you lower your average levels with lots of hypos as a by-product.

That is just brilliant!!!! So pleased for you hun! :D

Thankyou xxx

I think i would be a little hapier reducing it down a bit more. Hypos do worry me a little as GP said i seem to have no hypo awareness....

That is excellent Doddy, and do please bear in mind that it is only recently that you've been getting levels in good single figures - that HbA1c will reduce anyway as long as you keep on doing what you are doing, I'm sure 🙂

I think my body is having a rebellion! After going to bed on a 10.6 the other night, I woke up to 7.1 this morning....after going to sleep being in the 6's.
You think you have it sussed, then it goes belly up again!

I think the next hba1 will give a more accurate reading as you say Northie...here's to the next 4 months...omg, it will be xmas....damn! Hmm, maybe it wont' be so good!

That's an absolutely great change in your HBA1C well done:D
