Another guess the HbA1c... Eek...

My doctor ordered another HbA1c coz of my higher numbers.

So, I have been done by the nurse this morning...😱

I am now one armful (it felt like it as I really hate needles) lighter of the red stuff. I hope it is red as I didn't open my eyes till it had been hidden.

Jolly Hocky Sticks the really nice nurse has left so I got the new nurse who wasn't keen on using a black needle. Black needles are finer and hurt far less. Anyway, back to the story...

So the last one three months ago was 7.2%. I'm gonna kick off with 8%.

Seconds out...

I got home to a letter from the surgery asking me to see the doctor about the blood test.

I'll have to wait till Monday for the results...

Better getting it all checked out Tez. I have no idea which way your numbers are going to go, would hope for a maintain but you seem to think you are going to go over 8 - here's hoping you are being pessimistic but if the doc is calling you back ...

Hopefully it's just a standard letter - I got a callback for a HbA1c of 6.6 because it was above the 6.5% target. That was just standard procedure, not someone specifically requested by my Doctor.

I phoned up for my results. Lipids high (whatever they are) and no HbA1c result back till tomorrow.😡

I tried to make an appointment to see the nurse. There was a note on the receptionists computer to get me to go straight to the doctor.😱

So I see him tomorrow at 5.30pm...😱

Lipids are cholesterol and triglycerides Tez, sounds like they may want to put you on a statin. Hope the appt goes well. 🙂
