Another forum newby!!

Hi all,

My name is Nikki, I live in Scotland and I have been diabetic for almost 20 years after being diagnosed age 5.

Just looking for a little bit of support from other diabetics (my fiance is fantastic but sometimes it helps to speak to someone who really gets what you're going through)

Hoping that I can make some brilliant new diabetes friends 😱

Welcome Nikki - more proof that children with diabetes grow up into normal, happy adults 🙂

You may want to mention that you're in Scotland (or change profile to state), so that posters will know to talk about eg SIGN not NICE etc for you. But lots else about diabetes doesn't matter where you live.

Welcome! Not a diabetic myself so don't fully understand what you go through but do my best to be supportive and empathise. Our son has just been diagnosed - still waiting to see whether he's T1 or T2 though. Hubby recently diagnosed T2. Everyone here on the forum has been really great. I've learned so much about diabetes too.

Feel a bit of a fraud posting here as I'm not sure what support I could offer. Just wanted to welcome another 'newbie'. 🙂
