🙂Morning Chaps and Chappesses. after reading your comments about why I'm not allowed to have a blood glucose meter etc. and reading much more on the subject last night, I've decided that "It's gonna be War" with the NHS & PCT in Poole. can someone send me the link to the Advocacy document that was written to help T2's get a blood sugar meter from their local NHS.

I've decided that being a T2 is like being a 2nd class citizen according to the health professionals. judging by your comments, our diabetes care and support can be sketchy at best and it looks like I've got a fight on my hands.

I can't beleive though that I'm the only T2 on this forum who is being refused a blood glucose meter reader or strips in the Poole/Bournemouth area and that no one has come forward to tell me if you succeeded with the NHS in this part of Dorset. We had to fight tooth and nail to get better care for our 73 year old mother, I did'nt have to expect I'd have to do the same for me too! I'm going to source my own meter and hopefully get the docs. to give me the strips on the NHS.
If some of you are thinkiing What price life! I agree but we do not have extra cash to splash and I have to prioritise our expenditure on a tight budget.
