Another warning letter from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration about violations by another Johnson & Johnson company emerged last week.
This time it was the Animas Corp., of West Chester, regarding problems with the company's insulin pumps. Animas, according to the FDA, failed to report adverse events involving patients and kept selling pumps with parts that it knew had to be replaced.
The wording in the letter was stark in describing a crucial violation: The company had a "failure of management with executive responsibility" to make sure quality control was maintained.
