7.3 again. 😱 The same as last time, & given how chaotic things have been, & problems with canula sites etc, on balance I'm relieved it's not worse, & now need to get my bum in gear to get it better - it's a long way off my pb of 5.7%! 😉

Less cheerfully it seems I have some areas of hypolipotrophy (? Think that's what doc said), where as I've lost some of my baby weight my tum has gone abit, well kind of odd & dimply. This hasn't helped with my canula issues I suspect. Hey ho, the good news is there are now accu chek flex link in 6mm, which I'm finding far comfier & more consistent - who'da thought 2 mm on a fairly, er, cuddly figure could make much difference?!

Anyway, that'smy news, hope everyone's well. Off to sleep now, carthartic HbA1c confession complete... :D

Yuk to the lumpy bits, I have several No Go areas on my tum and I can never remember exactly where until a site doesn't work. Again. But my rotation is pretty good so I have 18 possible sites.

Someone else told me that's what they do, and I thought it sounded a good idea.

They go either side of my navel, 3 staright lines across, slightly above, level with, slightly below. So I start on my right hip side of tum, and the next two go an inch inside the last one (usually with new sticky butting up to old one sticky, that gives me the inch) then I go to my left hip side on the same line and work in again. Then to the right again either up or down wherever is next. I therefore don't go in the same place twice in over a month. 18 sites = 36 days. And on a blank canvas so to speak, it's doubtful it would be in exactly the same 'hole' as before, isn't it?

Hi Twitchy, good to have a 'maintain' after all you have been through lately. I am sure you can build on that for next time, so keep at it! 🙂

Well done Twitchy that is great after everything you've been through. I'd love to be at 7.3 for my next HBA1C 🙂 xx

Well done twitchy.

Good news that you've held your HbA1c Twitchy!

Have you tried your back for sites? I've been avoiding abdomen, more or less, after my first 6 months so now work in two lines from above hips back round toward spine, with a couple of recent forays onto top of buttocks

Hope your lipos clear up after a while

Yay well done twitchy x

Thanks everyone. 🙂 Unfortunately I've been told to go no lower than below my belt line, & between that & areas of baby-trashed tum I'm quite short of areas to try...I seem to have some diagonal areas at the side of my tum that hurt & where the canula goes off quickly too, so I'm quite restricted. I don't know if it's because it's fairly loose but pulls, if that makes sense (not a nice mental image I know!). I did try around to my sides, above my hips, but again seem probe to kids / bags catching there & I find it uncomfortable at nIght. (sidesleeper!). I need to 'man up' a bit about my set changes really - I had a few that really really hurt (my tum's a mess post babies & a previous op on my injection sites which might be why)...net result is I find it quite hard to fire off the link assist lol - guess I need a far lighter trigger so I don't have the chance to stress! 😱 I definitely find set changes far far worse than I ever did injections (didn't bother me at all really). That said, I'd still not give my pump up without a fight! :D
