Not much point arguing about how to take a photo, when we can't email or text them really! :D

I’m not a fan of sending photos of body parts of any form to Dr / nurse. Been asked twice and it was a no way matey. Safeguarding and making and distributing images springs to mind - maybe thats the teacher and training in me. I was seen by the nurse ....then the Dr

I completely understand your reticence.
I was comfortable to do so in this case because it was not a generic email but a single use, unique link sent to me by my surgery.
And the other option was to wait 3 weeks for an appointment which I had been told was urgent.

I feel sorry for the surgeries having to function during the pandemic and admire them when they try to be innovative to manage their patients.

In September I didn't feel too well and had a painful eye and a strange rash on my hip. Called the GP surgery and was asked to send in photos. They sent a secure link and I uploaded the pics, got a call back within an hour, saw a GP later that day and referred to the eye clinic at the hospital the following morning.

Shingles....

All was well within a few weeks. The process of being diagnosed and treated wasn't what I was used to but in a pandemic it worked well, was both swift and safe.
