Brilliant, well done. I wish I could say that. I've just gone 48 hrs almost 100% in range (but not quite) preceded by my more normal turbulence for several days! But staying in range is for me extremely time consuming and demanding. Thanks for all your advice.
I’ve got all my readings down below 10 without making too many changes and without taking too much (what’s too much ?) insulin. Mind you I haven’t had any chocolate for weeks, but I am having a not so wee dram or a glass of Italian red every now and then.
I’m not at the smug stage yet, because I know I need to get down to a regular 5 - 8.
No idea what too much insulin means! I work on the basis that what I need is what I need. For me typically 8.5 units at breakfast, 4-5 units for lunch plus a correction when needed (today 1.5 units) and dinner 5-7 units again plus a correction if needed. I also find one bedtime in 2 or 3 I need a further small correction of 1-2.5 units; often that is my fault for taking a snack during the evening! The NovoEcho pen with its half units is a great help for fine tuning.
Keep at it 🙂
