Hi all. I joined this forum in 2011 when diagnosed as prediabetic. I‘ve popped in and out and always found the help and advice on here to be fantastic. I’m back again as, following lockdown, I find myself in need of some of your fantastic support as my weight and BG levels are creeping up! I admit the whole Covid 19 situation has made me anxious and neglect my diet etc! I know I‘m headed in the wrong direction! I have to turn this around for my own sake. My sleep patterns are all over the place too so any advice would be most gratefully received! It’s good to be back! 🙂

Sleep disturbance does not help with BG levels either.
I know! It’s infuriating when your mind is whirling at 2am! 😡

Welcome back! Good step to come back on here,. Will hopefully help motivate you

Welcome back @Katieb - hopefully you will find the motivation you’re looking for 🙂

Welcome back @Katieb

Sorry to hear the impact of the current situation is having on you.
Glad that you have come back on here.

Welcome back @Katieb

Sounds like you know more or less what you need to be doing... and we will be right here encouraging you, every step of the way 🙂

Disturbed sleep can be very draining. Have you ever tried mindfulness or anything similar? I think those have pretty good scientific evidence of effectiveness in terms of gradually allowing your brain to unwind and realign itself from stress and anxiety.
