Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
I watched a interview with amelia lily from last years xfactor and was left with nothing but respect for her open and honest approach to her diabetes during the bbc interview.

In the celeb world where you alway have to come across perfect she was a breath of fresh air and a great spokes person for those of us with diabetes.

I gave my support to her by pre ordering her song which is about to be released. Not heard it yet, but she was a great singer in last years contest and if it helps her along her path the it's we'll worth the money spent.

She was great, and another one (like Adam Lambert) who made you go WHAT??? when she didn't win! Probably better in the longrun for their careers though. She has done a lot to raise the profile of Type 1 diabetes 🙂

I saw her on breakfast tv one day last week and felt just the same. Not sure if it was the same interview or not. They only touched on it briefly but she was so mature over her attitude to it. I admire her too, and love her singing voice. Good luck to her!

I totally agree. I watched her interview too, the way she treats it as part of her life like anything else, rather than something that defines her, is great and really refreshing. I hope a lot of younger diabetics have seen it and that it makes them realise that anything is possible even if you do have a condition to live with.

Where can I watch the interview?
