I know I should see my nurse, and I will, but would appreciate some views from the educated public on this here forum.
Recently a few times I've been up and down levels wise without much reasoning. I think maybe I haven't been very good at carb counting as I haven't truely worked out a ratio, more half it round it up or down depending on my impending activities are.
Today I woke at 7.6, 3 hrs later 6.1, before lunch 8.7, 2 hrs later 7.9.
I then snacked on some pitta bread and chick pea moosh, within 20 mins my eyes felt like I was high as a kite (I hate that feeling), I tested 11.8. Low carb tea and injected for correction mainly (still working that out too)
So why did I jump to 11.8 after 20 mins after a pitta snack?
Should I have injected an extra amount if I was snacking so?
One thought was I don't have enough long term in me?
But as I wake between 6 and 8 generally so I think that's fine?
If I had anymore levemir in me would I hypo more often.
sorry for going on but I wanted to give you all the whole picture.
Thanks
Rossi.
