I read a leaflet this morning explaining how high fibre carbs work, they lower your blood sugar over a prolonged time. Is this why beans & pulses etc are ok to eat even though they're high in carbs? Am I right or have I mis-understood? I've been worried about eating my stews which have a lot of pulses in them, I'm hoping that I'll be able to enjoy this & not put my sugar through the roof
