WALSALL has one of the highest rates of obesity in the West Midlands.
According to latest figures from Public Health England (PHE), 68.9 per cent of adults are classified as overweight or obese in the borough – and it is the third highest rate in the West Midlands.
"It is vital we continue to work with local authorities to help reduce this number and increase the health and wellbeing of people across the whole of the West Midlands region," said Dr Lola Abudu, public health consultant with the PHE West Midlands Health and Wellbeing team.
