I hope someone here can help.
I decided to start having some almonds for my mid morning snack as I read they are good for diabetics and won't cause a spike.
Unfortunately I am getting the opposite effect and I can't work out why.
I have a pot containing 60g. The tub states Carbohydrate 5.4g per 100g.
An hour after eating them, my levels are 16 ( they were 7 before)
Please can anyone explain why this should happen.
I'm a Type 1 diabetic ( 10 years)
Many thanks
Sarah

That's US style, where carbs include fibre. To get UK style "carbs", you need to subtract the fibre.
Thanks I realised my error and have changed it
