Having been using the LIbre for almost 6 months (how lucky am I!) I seem to be developing an allergy to something. The last 2 have left my skin pink and raised, over a fortnight later it still hasn't returned to normal. What can I use to prevent this? - I'm sure someone has recommended something before in the pumping section but I can't find it

Oh no! How unlucky :(

There's a group on FB where a few others have developed a similar reaction after a few sensors.

These are the things that people there have tried using:

Cavilon spray
Comfeel
Compeed
Duodern
TuffPad

To be honest I have no idea how people are using Compeed (I thought that was a plaster for stopping blisters???) but if they are sticking something like that on and then firing the sensor through it (aside from the slightly icky possibility of pushing some compeed into your arm 😱...) I guess you could also use something like tegaderm/opsite as an under-dressing? Maybe cut a hole in the middle for the needle/sensor to go though, and then over-tape??

Hope you find something to fix it. Could you ask in your pharmacy?
