I have had this very itchy rash for about 9 weeks now. I have seen 3 different doctors. The latest is my 'named' doctor.
He thought it could be my blood pressure tablets although I have been on them for many years. He changed them last week.
I have been given strong antihistamines, steroid ointment, shower wash and moisturiser cream but nothing stops it. It is now washing capsules as have been using same for some time. My named doctor also said it could be my diabetes (been on insulin 55 years now), my thyroid problem. I have never had this before and I am now over 70. Anyone any ideas please.

It’s possible to develop intolerances to things as you get older. First thing - have you cleaned through your washing machine? My daughter had an allergy due to remnants of liquid wash in the machine. At the advice of my plumber, I changed to powder and have had no problems since.

Secondly, have you had a coeliac screen? Coeliac can cause rashes. What’s the rash like and where is it?

Washing at a low temperature can start up problems.
