Well thats my excuse anyway!
Had a naughty lunchtime treat today. We went off to Manzes Pie and Mash (these things have to be done), first time of going since diagnosis.
Normally before diagnosis Id have had 2 pies and one lot of mash with gravy.
But today I had 1 pie and half a portion of mash with gravy.
Before - 10.2
After - 10.9
My numbers are high anyway (as per normal), but I was pleased that I can have it as it didnt spike me too much.
And as an added bonus, as i only had half a portion of mash the lady didnt charge me for my drink.

Good grief, Stitchy - I'd have thought the pie and the gravy would have been enough to send you nicely into orbit even before sticking a forkful of mash down the hatch. That's flippin excellent - BUT you should really check for a late spike too - so what's Lovely Rita the meter maid saying now?

I was gonna check again at the 3 hour mark, just in case. I was surprised too!

I have come to the conclusion I am going to live on Pie and mash!!! Just checked again, 2 and 1/2 hours after eating and now at 9.1!!!
Ok....... Im weird!!!!

Wow, pre insulin mine would have shot up into the stratosphere.
I haven been to Menzies in Peckham or Sutton for over 15 years.
Pie eels n mash are fab.

Excellent result Stitch. Do you think the more pies you eat the lower you will go? :D
