Hi alias1, welcome to the forum 🙂 I'm sorry to hear about the problems you are experiencing. Hopefully some of our members may be able to make suggestions as to how you might relieve the pain from your neuropathy. Has your doctor made any suggestions, other than the drugs you mention?

Big welcome alias1, glad you joined. Sorry that it is all getting you so down at times, hope it helps by talking here and you must get help if you feel its all too much on occasions.

Hi alias1. Welcome 🙂

WHen you say you're reasonably well controlled, are you able to test regularly?

Hi Alias1,

Really sorry to hear that it is getting you so down. From my personal experience I have found gabapentin excellent. I had the same constant pain and amitrptyline did not work at all for me. BUT since being prescribed gabapentin everything is so much better. Is there any specific reason why you do not want to try that medication. Please try it and I hope that you experience the positive effects that I have.

Brendan
