“Hey, Alexa, what’s my blood sugar?”

Amazingly, that’s not a question going unanswered by technology anymore.

Thanks to innovations from Apple’s Siri, Amazon Echo + Alexa, and Google Home in recent years, health-related voice recognition technology that was once tough to find is now going mainstream.

Not available outside the USA just yet.

Too many privacy issues with this technology and all the manufacturers have admitted their equipment is listening and in some cases storing conversations.... and I’m not a conspiracy theorist lol

I can’t imagine anything more pointless. And as has been said, these devices are hardly secure.

Secure or not if the manufacturer is listening to you not much you can do about it lol

We have a few Alexa devices, wouldn’t trust them to tell me my blood sugar but don’t really care if the manufacturer is listening in, they aren’t going to hear anything interesting!
