CHERRY Bowmaker didn?t know much about diabetes when she was first diagnosed.
She was running to the loo all the time, feeling extremely tired and thirsty, losing weight and experiencing visual disturbances.
Today, 40,000 injections later and after living with the condition for the last 27 years, Cherry (58) is chairperson of the St Helens Diabetes UK Voluntary Group and also helps organise the annual St Helens Walk the Extra Mile event held in Sherdley Park this month.
