After 21 years using insulin, diabetic no longer needs insulin after islet operation

Funny this should pop up I am currently being tested at a clinic in Dresden to see If I am a suitable candidate, probably the most exciting "actual" treatment step forward I have seen in my life of diabetes, too nervous to even say fingers crossed lol

I will SB it takes a couple of months for the whole process, new consultant with a more open mind works wonders, my health insurance company have already approved the financial side if I fit the profile.
 
@Bolden & @pm133 thanks for the good wishes, the process started on Monday with an email asking if I could get to Dresden on Tuesday for blood tests (6 hours drive for me) was there like a shot lol, I’ll post more as I learn what the process actually entails
