I don't know if I told anyone on here before about my severe stomach pains, but they are getting worse. The doctor is referring me for scans on my stomach, but I don't know what to do till then. I gained some weight, and after seeing my doctor (she weighed me), I am back to being underweight again, even though she didn't find an issue with it.

I don't really know what else to do, I don't think I can stop eating because I need to take my insulin, but I can't go on a liquid diet either, because its dangerous. I can't cope, I can't even decide what to do... can anyone help? Any suggestions? My dietitian wants all these things from me, (blood glucose levels, I don't test.) I gave her my food and symptom diary. I want help.

Well you only need to avoid eating carbs as protein and fat don't need insulin - but are you on a mixed insulin or something?

How on earth can you ever hope to control your blood glucose if you don't test it?

Good that you are getting referred for scans @KleboldKlan - hopefully they can get to the bottom of your stomach pain. Good that you have gained some weight too.

I’m not sure anyone here will be able to offer much more than support unfortunately.

Are you on painkillers for the pain? Some of those bung up the works a bit, which might add to your pain?

Monitoring BG when taking insulin is a way of keeping safe. It would be good for your Drs to know that you aren’t testing.

Hope things improve for you soon :(
