Diagnosed last week. Put rite on insulin novo 70/30. 14 units morn 14 units eve. Last couple days getting sharp stabbing pain right foot. Lasts few seconds but really sharp. Al i being paranoid or could it have something to do with diabetes.
Hi Nigel,
The great medics in the sky think I'm a T1 as well, but I've not had it formally confirmed yet (only been waiting since end May ). I'm on Novomix 30 - 14 units before breakfast and 12 before evening meal. I used to get a really sharp stabbing at the top of my second toe on my left foot, but haven't had it for a couple of months now. I mentioned it to the nurse at the GP and to my Diabetes team, but they kinda brushed it off, so I am assuming it's nothing to worry about otherwise they'd have said / done something. I would mention it to your team thou to be on the safe side - always better to be safe than sorry.
