I have had a lifting large toenail. God the last couple of months but today I stubbed it and it is now bleeding where the nail is hanging on. Should I see my gp. Thanks
Welcome to the forum, Jan Esther. We can't give medical advice, so it's best to ask your GP, or, if you have previously seen a chiropodist / podiatrist, ask them. Until tomorrow, normal first aid for bleeding applies. A bit of tape to hold nail in place keeps the nail bed shape as the new nail grows underneath.
I hate toenails and this happening makes me feel sick - always has done and I dunno why! No way could I ever tend to it very much myself - so I'd be there at sparrow fart tomorrow wanting to be seen! LOL

Ouch sore one. I had a big toenail broken right across, hanging by a thread. Eventually it fell off after I had made a chiropodist appointment. It had been a fungal infection but the toenail was damaged previously.. I never even thought about it being fungal.
