Hi,
Just joined today to ask for advice.
As an outline; I've had T2 for about 6-7 years now, controlled in the usual way with metformin with a sitagliptin laced in taken twice daily.
When I was diagnosed I was pretty big at 112kg (I'm 5.7 or 172cm) but about 18 months ago I started to approach losing weight and am today down to 97kg. Eating less and walking over 10K everyday being my method. I averaged 11K per day since Jan 2021.

I'm getting concerned about sensations in my toes. Particularly at night with tingling and some numbness. This is in my 2nd toe and in the sole at the ball of my foot. I don't know if this might just be Morton’s Neuroma of if it is the oncoming signs leading to toe amputation or worse?

Can anyone tell me the normal warning signs for this very worrying issue?

Many thanks
Phil

Welcome @PhilMaguire 🙂 You say “toes” then say it’s your second toe - is it all of them or just one? When did you last have a diabetic foot check?

How’s your blood sugar - ie what numbers are you getting?

Whether this is diabetic neuropathy or an unrelated toe problem, it would be sensible to get it checked out.
