Diagnosed T2 in Aug 2019 with blood sugar level of 83. In the last 12 months I have lost 1 1/2 stones in weight, lost a bit more but have gained a couple of pounds since Christmas, my cholesterol is fine, kidneys fine, blood sugar last week was down to 45 which I am pleased with. My Diabetic Nurse says 'excellent' but I feel a bit cut adrift as she does not want to see me, the receptionist says they will call me! Any advice please, will I be called in 12 months for annual checks? What next? Should I be aiming for getting below 42 now? How? By just continuing to do what I have been doing so far? What are your experiences please? Thank you!

Hi @DaisyDaisy and welcome to the forum, some members with lots of experience in T2 will be along soon to help you with your query. I just wanted to welcome you in the meantime.
Adam.

Well done on your great progress so far! And your terrific weight loss too - which will help with your insulin resistance I expect 🙂

And yes, I believe you should still be called in for annual reviews and your 15 healthcare essentials
