I'm thinking of getting a Miaomiao, mainly because I want to be able to see my BG on my apple watch.
I'm not very technical on phone, computers and the jargon, so any help would be appreciated as if your talking to a technophobe LOL.
How stable are they?
What APP would I need (just needs to be the very basic info, as more features will scramble my limited grey matter)
Are they easy to set up? IPhone and watch?
How often do you need to charge them?
I understand the difference between the Miaomiao 1 and Miaomiao 2 is mainly size

Thanks in advance

I use the MM2 with an android phone and Fitbit but I imagine the process is similar with Apple products. It's been very stable for me, with the occasional loss of connection that is quickly fixed by turning my phone's bluetooth off and on again. I usually charge mine about once every week or so and it charges very quickly. Despite mine working perfectly, I have heard from others that if you get a defective Miaomiao or have any kind of problem with it their customer service is very poor, so you may also want to look into the Bubblan or the Nightrider BlueCon.

As for apps, I believe Tomato (http://tomato.cool/) is the go-to app for Miaomiaos on Apple. Adding the Tomato app to an Apple watch seems pretty complicated, but there are some instructions here on their blog: http://tomato.cool/complication-instruction/tips/

I too have a Miaomiao which I manage on my Android phone. I use the xDrip+ app. It is a bit technical but I found it much more reliable than Tomato (which stores results in China and permanently needs connectivity to the server). XDrip (without the plus) is available on iPhones. My Apple diabuddies use this.
As @TotallyAverage says, there have been quite a few reports of issues with them recently. It seems that the customer service is better if you buy it from the .eu website rather than the .cool website.
Have you considered the Bubble? This does the same as The Miaomiao. I think it was developed and sold in Sweden. I have read good things about their customer service. You can use it with the same phone apps.

Thank you both for the replys, very helpful, and I do appreciate you taking the time to respond.
Never herd of Bubble, so just googled it. I have checked out Nightrider, and decided it wasn't right for me.
I'll have a good read up on Bubble.
I have just downloaded the Xdrip app to play around with, thanks for the heads up regarding Tomato, that's definatly not right for me.
Hopefully this time next week I should have made up my mind and got one

Hope you get on well with it @megga whichever you choose 🙂

XDrip does seem to be the one people like

Just an update, I went with the MM in the end, I found a good review on bubble v MM on youtube. Whilst the bubble seemed great, one thing let it down was the sticky patch's, he found that he had to replace them every 2 days.
Unfortunately I am having to use the Tomato app as I just cant work out how to get Xdrip on my Iphone (I'm useless with technology)
All in all, I'm happy, I eventually worked out how to display my readings on my apple watch, and that's what I wanted, as I do a lot of driving, and now I just look at my watch to see my levels, result 🙂
Thanks again for advice and taking the time to reply
