I'm looking for advice on what I should do, I have a 8 month pregnant partner expecting twins who's currently self isolating/social distancing and then there's myself a type 1 diabetic who can't social distance because I work in the railway and are unable to work from home so I've been told I am expected to go into work, my problem is that the amount of different people that I will be in contact with is leaving me open to potentially catching this virus and bringing it back home to my partner. I've been told by my manager that if I get clear cut advice from my doctors or diabetes team saying that I should also be off work then they can't go against this, I'm due back to work Monday (Tomorrow) and I can't get through to my local health centre as its shut or my local diabetes centre as its shut also until Monday, so if anyone has any suggestions or even any contact numbers for anyone I can speak to about this it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I am really sorry to hear about the very difficult situation you find yourself in Ryan. It must be very worrying for you both.

Until you can get some concrete advice from your clinic I’m afraid all you have to go on is the .gov website advice which suggests ‘social distancing’ and only working from home if you are able to.

I’m not sure what your living arrangements are, and in reality the risks are still low, but if you would feel better I suppose you could isolate yourself from your partner until you get some concrete information from your clinic?

Welcome to the forum, and good luck with your pregnancy!
