Hi there

I am type 1 Diabetic and very rarely miss any doses. Last night i missed my Levemir dose and i remember waking up at 7am thinking i must take it, however i dont remember taking it. So as well as taking my breakfast inj plus a correction of 4 i took an levemir injection of half my normal dose. Do you think this is ok ?

Welcome to the forum Marok5. Do you usually take your Levemir once or twice a day? In any case, what you have done is what many have done before you and many will do in the future. I'd add testing your blood glucose levels before every meal, before driving (if appropriate) plus extra tests so you test at least every 2 hours until this evening. And expect levels to be a bit odd until tomorrow at least.

Hi there,

2x daily 31 morning and night. But because i could remember took 15..Thanks for your advice. My keytones were 1.3 now 0.3 bloods were 26.5 now 25.3

Hope things are going OK through today.
