I'm sorry, but I'm making the family advent calendars (daughters are married, 30 and 28, and keep hinting for me not to stop making them :D....last year I didn't make one for myself, but this year, I would like to join in. I'm at a loss as to what I can fill mine with... any suggestions please? Thank you x

Miniatures (if you drink), different flavour herbal tea bags, cosmetics, stationary, … I would suggest cheese but you would have to keep it in the fridge for 24 days.

You can buy or make cheese calendars if that appeals at all… but as mentioned, has to live in fridge

Thank you, i'm going to make a list of suggestions, and maybe mix and match what i can get hold of. x

@Peeny I thought of you when I saw this ... after picking myself off the floor at the price, of course.
I thought the idea of a craft advent calendar was a lovely idea. Even someone like me who enjoys their chocolate would enjoy the delight of unwrapping a different crafty thing each day. I suspect a shop like Hobby Craft would have a good selection of low priced items to make something for yourself (or family).

Little items of stationery? Washi tape… Eraser… Pencil sharpener… Mini post-its…

Enjoy your calendar - I suspect everyone might want one like yours next year! 🙂

Coloured paper clips;ditto elastic bands; different sizes of paper clips; foldback clips - so much nicer & neater than bulldog clips!

A selection of hair 'elastic' bands; a selection of different size plastic 'pincurl' clips (no idea what they call them now but jolly useful when blow drying to keep the sections of hair apart whatever the length of your hair)

How about a jigsaw puzzle... a few pieces behind each door. Could be a seasonal subject. Of course, you do not supply a finished picture!
