Hi Patrick, welcome to the forum 🙂 Adrenalin can affect blood sugar levels, but not to any discernible effect when finger-pricking. Adrenalin is a hormone that prompts the liver to release extra glucose into the bloodstream, but this is unlikely to be by much, if anything, due to tension over finger pricking, so I wouldn't try to factor it in. Have a read of Painless Pricks, by Alan S, it might help you to make the process easier on yourself 🙂

How did your diagnosis come about? Have you been given any medication for your diabetes? Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns and we will be happy to help out 🙂
