Just wondering if anyone using this meter is having any problems with the testing strips? The last pot was fine, but the pot before that there were quite a few strips that either didn't work in the machine at all or just came up error bad strip replace, just opened a new pot yesterday and so far had 2 bad strips, and would you guys think it best to make them aware of it? TIA 🙂 x

Contact the company.

Sometimes it says bad strip when it just means you haven't quite pushed it in far enough, and often if you just try again with the same strip it will work fine!

Thank you! 🙂 x

Are they all the same batch? - but anyway if Sally's suggestion doesn't work - definitely ring the helpline and tell them.

I've had the odd one or two in a tub, but never shedloads, in 8 years.

Probably, they were all in the same order anyway, well went to test for tea and the strip didn't switch the meter on, took it out and tried again - nothing, fresh strip and it worked, I've sent them an email x

I had problems with my strips when I first started testing. I kept getting error messages. I went to see some friends on the Sunday. Hazel told me I was doing it wrong. Her hubby is diabetic and she showed me how to do it. Turned out I had been trying to put the blood on the strip rather than taking the strip across my finger to collect the blood. I have had no more trouble since. Have now bought an SD Codefree as the Accu Chek strips are expensive.

Thanks however its the strips that are at fault and as a Type 1 I don't pay for my strips xx
