BLIND diabetic Wayne Pugh is set to enjoy a better quality of life ? after his brother agreed to donate one of his kidneys for a life-changing transplant operation.
The 29-year-old has already been left completely blind after a 17-year fight with diabetes and now needs a new kidney.
He currently spends four-and-a-half hours on a dialysis machine three times a week.
Now medical tests have revealed Wayne's 35-year-old brother Craig is a match and can provide a kidney for the transplant.
Wayne, of Greenway Place, Abbey Hulton, said: "My family have always been great.
"Every time I have been in any kind of trouble, Craig has been there for me. He has always been my rock.
"Words can't describe how I feel about what he is doing.
