I bloody hate em!

At the moment I currently have a verruca and dry/flakey skin between my 2nd and third toe, maybe athletes foot but its not any bother at the moment, both things are on my left foot.

Thing is I don't understand where i've got either from!? I refuse to walk around anywhere barefoot most of the time, I have my own shower. I won't go into the kitchen without shoes on. The only place i've been is my shared toilet and the housemate I share that with she doesn't have either!

I've been talc-ing my toes for now and did try that bazuka verruca stuff but it doesn't seem like its working.

I know being diabetic we have to be extra careful blah blah blah. I don't have any neuropathy in my feet! They're pretty sensitive if anything (i'm really ticklish!). So errr now what do I do?

You'll might be better going to your doc's to have the verruca sorted and he can check your toes to see if you have athletes foot or not.

Dry flaky skin between your toes can be just that you haven't dried them sufficiently when you had your bath/shower..

I know that verruca's can be transferred but aren't they also related to a virus such as the cold sore virus! I've only every had one verruca 26 years ago when I was pregnant...

But when it comes to feet I'm very lucky never had any problems with them at all, I don't even have dry skin on my heels.. And I the only thing I practice is ensuring that when I bath I dry between my toes probably... I do walk around in bare feet a lot, just like anybody else would.

Yup, I was thinking that or perhaps going to my nurse. She'll know what to do!

Hm, didn't know the cold sore relation but can't say I have had one of them for a while either..

I probably don't take much notice of my feet if i'm honest. I make sure my toes are always nicely manicured but thats all. I tend to leave them be, I really do hate feet! At the same time though I treat them well! I never wear poorly fitted shoes, barely wear flats either i.e. the kinds from new look! I much prefer a proper shoe. At the moment i'm living in my dr martens... how much more luxurious a shoe can you get "]

It's the wart virus isn't it? veruccas are 'internally growing' warts? - but they are all varieties of good old Herpes LOL

I think once you have it in your body you are a bit stuck with it, TBH. And you only get it rearing it's ugly little head when it thinks it will - but usually a collection of circumstances - can be sunshine, or sunshine and dampness (lots of peeps who go skiing get cold sores) or whatever.

And I've had warts here there and literally everywhere - I even had some which needed treating at a GUM if you take my drift - and for absolutely for no other reason than I had the virus, I assure you! - and the Dr there said that he saw a number of diabetics who swore they hadn't been up to anything untowards to catch em, and it wasn't just the odd one, so he thought that D makes people more susceptible to the wart virus in the first place.

DUK don't tell you that, do they ! 😱
