A DIABETES sufferer has completed the first of four gruelling cycling challenges to swell the coffers of a charity which helps people with the same condition.
David Allen, 57, of Collins Way, Eastwood, rode 50 miles around Cambridgeshire to raise £1,000 for Diabetes UK. He is planning another three rides later this year.
The software developer became an avid cyclist two years ago after he searched for a way to manage his health and Type 2 diabetes, which he was diagnosed with in 2003.
