I would like people's opinion on a theory I have!
Glimipiride.....I know it says to take it with the first meal of the day and I understand it's function is to squeeze a bit more insulin out of your pancreas. I do not know how much insulin my pancreas produces.
I am wondering...would it be possible, and would it work, if I took the glimipiride at night rather than with my main meal. My theory is that to get my waking numbers lower, withouth causing hypos etc, could be to take the glimipiride so it's working to squeeze the insulin out over night, therefore reducing my waking number.
I am hesitant to increase my basal anymore as I am at good figures 4hrs post meal times.
Any thoughts?
