I have rediscovered yellow split peas. Normally I would add some to a soup but I am trying to use everything up in the apartment in Spain and today for lunch I cooked some yellow split peas with vegetable stock powder for about 40 minutes and ate them on their own. Delicious! So I looked up the nutritional value and realised not only were they tasty but nutritious as well. When I am back home I will use them for the protein part of a meal.
