I tried a boiled egg on 2 slices of Volgel for breakfast but had 11.1 at 1 hour and 8.7 at 2. I think the bread is out for me at breakfast; will just try Bergen when I get some but who knows, reactions are so odd it may just work.

Wonder how you would get on with 1 slice and 2 eggs?

I tend to go with 1 slice of bread and then make it up with some low GI fruit; although I myself are testing breakfasts.

I'm assuming white meat is ok; chicken turkey etc.. what type of ham do people eat and is that not processed? Just printed out a copy of the GI foods and surprised with some foods that come under medium and high....bit of a shocker. 😱

Its a real learning curve isn't it; its just a case of testing, testing until you get it right. Good luck and keep in touch. Amanda x 🙂

I seem to get on OK with wholegrain bread but my numbers go crazy with anything else. I find many kinds of fruit send me up as well, though I'm fine with berries. Spuds are a complete no-no but small amounts of rice and pasta are OK. Oatmeal is good, but not other cereals. It's different for everyone sadly, oh how I wish there was a simple solution for us all!

Thats a plan, just trying to lose weight too. Exercise is a major problem for me so cant work it off, so trying not to get high in the first place.

Thank heavens for ebay and its strips. Hope they are ok, seem to be at the moment.

It really confounds me that strips are so restricted, especially for us newbies trying to establish a routine, but thats the situation , so have cut wifes make up allowance to fund them:D
