Diabetes has no mercy for that I know for sure
It invaded my son?s body, will there ever be a cure

It will not give a reason for why its came to stay
It?s taken my sons innocence the only thing it preys

I don?t know why it?s came here and why it chose my son
I ask god why he did this, diabetes is not fun

A November night was when it came
It was the beginning of the strife
It never shows no mercy
Diabetes is our life

It never comes to surface
Until it is to late
So finger pricks are needed
To ensure we win the race

I creep into his room at night
His meter in my hand
My tiny child looks beautiful
So abnormal bloods I fight

2 years feel like a lifetime
When diabetes rules your day
Our god is known as insulin
And to insulin I pray................

Please Insulin Please help us and let him win the fight
I promise I will watch him throughout the day and night

I know he?ll never understand how normal children live
His readings are essential
And the readings I will give
Just promise you?ll protect him from the Satan that he knows
Diabetes is the devil that weeps out through his pours

I cry, I scream and beg that his sentence is undone
Please god, please change your verdict
Please let it be me and not my son

But my pleas are never answered and diabetes is the fear
My precious son I hold, because he?s everything so dear
Diabetes will not rule us. We?ll fight it all the way
As a mother I?ll protect him until my dying day.

That is wonderful. We all want our children to be healthy and normal and happy. One day we will have a cure for diabetes.

Wow, that brought a lump to my throat, you never know, one day in the distant future, a cure might be found. I think we all pray for that. best wishes sheena
