As you know my BGs go very high during the night due to the gastroparesis. When it is going high I am often too tired (it is the middle of the night) to go to the bathroom and inject. In a lightbulb moment decided to leave my humalog pen by the bed. CGM beeps that BG is 10 - have three units of insulin in the dark😱 and back to sleep without getting up. Quite handy last night as I needed three injections......but woke up with 8.9🙂 and feeling less tired

Really glad to hear you've got an easier strategy! Shame you're having to be up several time still though - bring on the closed loop pump system eh?!! Glad to hear you didnt feel so tired today. 🙂 x

Amanda! - how daft!! :D :D :D

Personally I'd have a nice little torch there too - you could get one of those keyring ones, no need to disturb OH. (You ought to really, otherwise you won't know if your airshot has worked.)

Hi Amanda,

Glad to hear you have managed a mini breakthrough with trying to sort out your (very annoying!) levels!

Though you are much kinder than me...I'd turn the light on to inject....though my OH would more often than not sleep through anyway!

Here's to at least feeling much better in the mornings 🙂

You need a clapper so you don't have to get out of bed, then give your other half the thing you put over your eyes when you sleep.. the blindfoldy things =D

well done with your breakthrough!!

Its always good when we find a solution to things that are bothering us.

Well done Amanda, that's great news. I'm glad it's working for you. Sheenax
