Hello,
So I’ve been on metformin for a few days now. Am I crazy, or is there a slight appetite suppression that comes with it?
I had to go in to the office today and due to time restraints ended up having a Subway turkey salad and a protein yogurt for lunch. Now I’m a big girl and I can EAT and never feel full. And yet, this salad had me feeling stuffed to the brim and I haven’t wanted anything else to eat today. It’s almost 11pm and I really don’t want anything - but I am going to have to have a little something so I can take my metformin. I’ve only had around 500 calories today, which isn’t good.
Does metformin curb your appetite?
Aside from that, things are going well. Little bit of a stall on weight loss, but that’s always the case with me after the first couple of weeks of weight loss. I know it will start moving again soon.
As an aside… Someone at work (who doesn’t see me very often) told me I looked like I’d lost some weight today - which was a very nice surprise! It’s only 9lbs yet - a micro-drop in the ocean compared to what I need to lose, so I certainly wasn’t expecting anyone to notice. Perhaps I look a tiny bit less bloated - which is good. I know a lot of people say they drop a dress size when they lose 10lbs. This have never been the case for me. I drop dress sizes so slowly - so it really was a surprise that anyone noticed my little loss today. I’ll take it!
