MORE beds and a temporary A&E expansion are part of crisis plans to help hospital patients this winter.
Hull Royal Infirmary's emergency department is braced for another high-pressure cold season, with thousands of patients expected to be admitted over the coming weeks.
A winter plan has been drawn up ? which includes putting on 39 extra beds and a temporary building on the side of A&E to expand it's capacity ? but health bosses haven't ruled out the possibility of moving patients to Castle Hill Hospital if Hull Royal gets full.
